An exquisite and high quality French 19th century transitional st. mahogany, tulipwood and ormolu miniature chest with all original gilt. raised by slender cabriole legs with fanciful acanthus leaf shaped ormolu sabots. the chest has a scalloped apron centered by a scrolling foliate ormolu mount. Above are 3 drawers with stunning ormolu keyholes and handles surrounded by a finely detailed boxwood and ebony filet. The sides are finished the same and both cut angled corners are decorated by an inlaid reserve and an ormolu mount at the top, all below the attractive thick marble top.
