A very fine French early 19th Century Empire st. mahogany and ormolu commode, circa 1810. The commode is raised on carved paw supports. Above are four wide drawers with a finely chased ormolu mount at the top and ormolu handles and keyhole escucheons. On each side are circular columns with cirucular mounts at the top and bottom, adorned at the top with an exquisitely chased harpsichord designed mount. All below the solid Gris St. Anne marble top. Original patina and gilt.
