A stunning and high quality 19th Century Transitional style Tulipwood and Satinwood inlaid oval "Bonheur Du Jour", in the manner of TOPINO. The desk is raised by cabriole legs with ormolu sabots joined by a kidney shaped tier. Above is a straight apron with wonderful style life scenes inlaid throughout, and on the sides. A central drawer flanked by ormolu chutes below 2 compartments with a central drawer. At the top is an impressive pierced gallery. All original gilt and hardware. Length: 27" Depth: 22" Height: 37"
