A most impressive large scale pair of Renaissance period, French 17th century one piece cast iron andirons with wonderful patina. The pair are raised by a thick moulded 'u' shaped base at the front and a stunning elongated back leg. Above the square tapering andirons with a very fine fluted design in each corner and 3 supports. At the top of each is a very attractive tazza. Length: 38" Depth: 12" Height: 29.5"
