An attractive and very elegant French 19th Century Napoleon III period ebony cabinet with Sevres porcelain plaques and ormolu mounts. The one door cabinet is raised by topie supports below the straight apron and rounded corneres with brass filets. The paneled door is decorated by an exquisite oval Sevres plaque of a courting scene, with ormolu bow and laurel branches, surrounded by ormolu borders and flowerheads. The sides are finished the same. The door encloses 2 interior shelves and is flanked by impressive ormolu foliage designed mounts and chutes at each corner. Above is a most charming rectangular porcelain plaque, depicting birds and branches. At the top lays an edged white marble.
