A spectacular and high quality Italian, circa. 1880, Baroque st. grey patinated and gilt daybed. The daybed has rich carvings on all sides and is raised by stunning scrolling supports. The moulded scalloped apron is richly decorated by gilt scrolling foliage carvings. At each end are the impressive curved ‘S’ scrolled panels, which are flanked by most impressive scrolled foliage spray carvings, and a central floral carving at the top. All original gilt and luxurious blue-grey velvet upholstering. Length: 94" Depth: 51" Height: 46"
