A most spectacular & monumental Italian mid 19th century giltwood mirror with all original gilt and mirror. The highly carved frame has a tapered design, the bottom with a 's' scroll design with small to large scale acanthus leaves which run throughout the entire frame. The top has a central protruding extravagant leaf, bordered by smaller ones. All carved wood with no plaster elements. Extremely high quality. Length: 40" Depth: 12" Height: 79"
