An extremely elegant and high quality French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. white Carrara marble and ormolu mounted lyre clock with a rhinestone bezel. The clock is raised by an oval base decorated by twisted ribbon bands, rosettes, beads and floral garlands. Above is the lyre shaped Carrara clock , with its original enamel dial and ormolu laurel branches. At the top is a floral wreath with a flame and arrows. All with original gilt and wonderful chasings throughout. Length: 9.5" Depth: 4.5" Height: 24"
