A high quality French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. rectangular table/desk. Raised by square tapered legs ending in ormolu sabots and with a top ormolu triple triangular ormolu mount below a rosette at the frieze. The legs are inlaid with a foliate marquetry at the frieze, with a drawer, highly decorated by a richly chased ormolu band. The band has an intertwining design with large rosettes in the center amidst foliate mount. The top has a fitted tan colored leather top with a gilt tooled border. Exceptional quality with all original gilt and hardware. Length: 37" Depth: 23" Height: 29"
