An important French 19th century Empire st. mahogany, 5-drawer desk. The desk is raised by slightly tapering turned legs with an elegant ormolu band at the top. Above is the central drawer flanked on each side by 2 drawers. All decorated by an exquisite lattice design ormolu keyhole. The other side is centered by a large eagle shaped ormolu mount. At the top lays a handsome fitted tooled black leather. All original hardware. Length: 60.5" Depth: 38" Height: 29.5"
