A stunning and unusual French 19th century hammered ormolu ‘Obelisque’ , with all original gilt. Raised by a fancy green Antico marble base. On each side of the square base is a central reserve of a Fleur de Lys amidst a laurel wreath on a scrolling platform. Above is a lovebird below an exquisite gadroon frieze. The tapering stem has an elegant Doric capital with a most impressive reeded acorn shaped top finial. Length: 7" Depth: 7" Height: 39"
