A very impressive and large French 19th Century Circa. 1880 Empire st. ormolu and solid Mahogany bed canape. The arhitectural designed canape has a central crossbar with a scrolled carved design with a sensational central pierced stylized Acanthus leaf which is centered by an ormolu rosette on each side. At both corners are Mahogany tapered fluted torches with a bottom ormolu finial, a twisted ribbon mount, a top lotus leaf band and are topped by a wonderful flame of prosperity. The sides have a moulded border. Length: 66" Depth: 15.5" Height: 23"
