An important French medieval st. wooden mantel painted in faux limestone. The mantel has two circular columns with impressive plaster capitals. The face has richly Carved lion heads above the columns. The Center has a central reserve of a shell amidst floral garlands and two dolphins. The mantel has a decorative top crown. The Whole is extremely architectural with wonderful style and character. Circa. 1880
