A very attractive and rare pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu and hand blown glass, hurricane lanterns. The lanterns are raised by a most impressive pierced scrolling foliage designed ormolu base. Each with a twisting acanthus leaf shaped central stem below the circular glass. Inside is a handsome gadroon shaped candlecup below the fanciful ormolu bobeche decorated by foliate designs Depth: 9" Height: 21.5"
