A very impressive and high quality pair of French mid 19th century granite and ormolu mounted cassolettes. The pair raised by a square base below a cabochon decorated ormolu band. Above is a hand-some and richly pronounced spiral fluted urn decorated by important ormolu mounts of male satyrs, all below the top lid with a flowing water design and top finial.
