A stunning and most impressive pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu andirons with all original gilt. raised by a handsome square support with a central bombee shape and sensational chased maiden's mask flanked by drapery and topie shaped supports. The andirons have very detailed stylized scrolling foliage designed chasings throughout.
