A stunning mid 19th century French Louis XVI st. ormolu clock signed by 'Bardon' in Montpellier France. The clock in ormolu with all of its original gilt has two love birds on The left looking over to the right where a bronze cherub is standing proudly with his bow. The enameled dial is raised on a heavily chiseled base with garlands and a central reserve and all raised on five feet. Above The dial is The flame of prosperity wrapped in a wreath of flowers. The clock has a stamp on The movement for having won a 'grand honor' award in 1855. The bronze flame was done by 'Japy Freres' in Paris
