A spectacular and unusual shaped early 19th cent. French Louis XVI st. mantle clock. The clock signed by 'Chapsal a Paris' in solid ormolu with all original gilt stands on a rectangular base raised by four swans. The center of the base has a heavily chiseled plaque of a landscape scene below two cherubs playing. The signed enameled dial is below two love birds. The sides are also heavily decorated with a dog, hearts and an arrow Length: 14" Depth: 5" Height: 17.5"
