A most exquisite, medium scale French mid 19th century, Louis XVI st. ormolu and white Carrara marble clock with all original gilt. raised by topie shaped ormolu supports, The rectangular marble base is decorated by a very rich and detailed acorn leaf ormolu border. Above is the square marble clock case with attractive enamel dial with Arabic numerals, and ormolu arrow shaped hour and minute hands. The clock case is flanked by stunning ormolu flowerheads while on the top is seated an ormolu, charming classical maiden with a very attractive attitude and wonderful details.
