An exceptionally high quality early 19th century French Louis XV st. Sevres porcelain and ormolu mounted inkwell. Raised by a scrolled and pierced ormolu mount with acanthus leaves surround an exquisite hand painted pink and gilt designed plaque with colorful birds and foliage. The two ink dispensers have the same porcelain floral designs and are decorated by ormolu bases and lids. Original gilt throughout.
