A spectacular and exceptional quality French Louis XV period 18th century secretary with an exquisite and highly detailed exoticwood floral marquetry inlay throughout the front and sides. The secretary is richly decorated by finely chased ormolu mounts with all original gilt. The scalloped frieze is below two doors with a shelf inside. Above is the drop front with a fitted leather surface and various sized compartments. At the top is a drawer below the original charcoal colored marble. Length: 40.5" Depth: 17" Height: 59.5"
