A spectacular Italian early 19th century ebony, tortoiseshell and bone specimen cabinet. The two door and twenty two drawer cabinet is raised by elegant bun feet below a rectangular bottom tier decorated with a finely inlaid bone fillet. Four turned baluster shaped supports lead upwards to a single large drawer and a lovely scalloped shaped apron. Above are sixteen visible drawers and two central doors each displaying an impressive tortoise shell background and a bone pull and fine fillet framed within a most decorative mottled wavy designed border. The two doors open to reveal five additional drawers, superb hinges, original hardware and finished inside of the door.
