A superb French 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood floor lamp. The floor lamp is raised by acanthus leaf block feet below a triangular shaped base with open concave sides. The base is decorated with fine fluted patterns, acanthus leaves, berried laurel and a lattice design. The circular fluted tapered central support displays richly carved fitted chandelles. Above are detailed acanthus leaves, a les oves pattern and fluted and spiral designs. All original gilt throughout.
