A sensational and most unique French 19th century mahogany, ebony, giltwood and Rouge de France marble console. The exceptionally decorative small scale wall mounted console is raised by handsome giltwood hoof feet below the beautifully scrolled supports leading upwards. Each support displays a fine beaded giltwood fillet and richly carved rosettes. At the center is a striking spiral design of intertwined snakes encasing an ebony support and leading up to snake heads flanking a charming acorn finial.
