A beautiful and high quality French 19th century white Carrara marble statue of Eros and Anteros. The grouping of charming winged Putti is after a model by François-Joseph LeClercq of Eros and Anteros named: "Deux amours luttant pour un cœur" (Two loves fighting for a heart). The statue is raised by an oblong base with a fine mottled wrap around band at the border where the two children stand with a quiver at their feet and the heart over which they quarrel. One of them is holding a wonderfully executed flowing fabric while pushing one another to get the heart with richly sculpted details throughout. — Read Less
