An exceptional and most decorative pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated wood commodes/buffets. Each four drawer two door demi lune shaped buffet is raised by elegant circular tapered fluted legs below striking fluted columns leading upwards and a superb interlocking richly carved band at the frieze. The bottom three drawers display beautiful recessed mottled designs with bronze circular mottled pulls and charming finely detailed central tied ribbon bronze keyhole escutcheons also repeated at the top drawer and set on a remarkable interlocking ring design. The curved doors at each side also display a most decorative recessed mottled panel with finely carved rosettes at each corner and also displaying lovely bronze keyhole escutcheons and open to reveal one shelf. Above are the original wonderfully executed faux painted marble tops. All original patina throughout. — Read Less
