A charming and most decorative pair of French and German collaboration 19th century Louis XV st. Meissen porcelain and Ormolu candelabra lamps, signed by Meissen. Each stunning candelabra is raised by a pierced foliate and floral decorated circular Ormolu base with a scalloped upper edge. Above is the white porcelain branch like support where a charming bird is seated and is decorated by berried foliate designs at the front central reserve. Both porcelain branches are marked with blue crossed swords, representing King Augustus Rex. The charming bird above confidently grasps the branch below and is beautifully decorated with extensively painted detailing throughout its body. Emerging from the backside of the Ormolu base below are the three scrolling acanthus leaf accented arms. Each arm is tastefully decorated with foliate designs on the bobeches and candle cups.
