A beautiful and most decorative Italian 18th century Louis XV period patinated green and giltwood console/desk. The freestanding console is raised by elegant cabriole legs with hoof feet, lovely giltwood foliate designs, and superb giltwood corner reserves with striking scrolled foliate designs and an exceptional lattice pattern. A delicate giltwood fillet extends up each leg and along the scalloped shaped apron centered by a remarkable scrolled foliate reserve. The console displays one drawer with a fine central pull and a fine giltwood fillet at the border flanked by lovely scalloped shaped giltwood reserves also displaying a graceful lattice pattern. Above is the original wonderfully executed faux painted marble top with a fine mottled border. All original gilt and patina throughout. — Read Less
