A stunning and extremely unique Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. polychrome, patinated, and giltwood cabinet vitrine. The vitrine is raised by a most decorative bottom tier with an elegant concave front decorated with a fine mottled foliate giltwood band and exceptional scrolled supports with impressive richly carved acanthus leaves. The back panel is framed within a mottled reeded giltwood band and displays striking patinated and giltwood foliate designs at each side. The body displays exceptional finely detailed mirrored giltwood Vitruvian scrolls on a lovely seafoam green background and fine foliate and twisted ribbon designed wrap around bands at the base. At the center is one door decorated with exceptional scrolled foliate polychrome and giltwood designs below the original curved hand blown glass pane framed within a wonderful giltwood border. The door opens to reveal two glass shelves and a mirrored background. Most decorative richly carved polychrome flowers and giltwood urns extend upwards, flanking the door and two original curved hand blown side glass panes leading to elegant giltwood block rosettes above. Charming ivy with giltwood accents extends along with the mottled top crown below a unique and most decorative les oves band with red accents and lovely foliate designs.
