A sensational Italian late 18th early 19th century Genovese st. giltwood, iron, crystal, and glass chandelier. The eight arm chandelier displays a beautiful bottom carved giltwood finial centered by a most decorative array of prism cut crystal pendants. The elegantly curved arms branch out from the circular tapered giltwood central support with finely carved foliate designs and are each adorned with lovely rows of beaded cut glass and charming swaging garlands with additional prism cut crystal pendants leading to circular bobeches with striking rosettes. Most decorative beaded cut glass garlands lead upwards to a central tier with striking foliate pressed metal medallions amidst remarkable sprays and fine rosettes. Above is an additional smaller tier also displaying charming sprays adorned with additional swaging garlands and prism cut crystal pendants. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
