A sensational and high quality pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. consoles from the Lombardi region and matching giltwood mirrors from Rome. The consoles are raised by a scalloped shaped faux painted malachite and giltwood bases, with a stunning hammered design. The console displays elegant cabriole legs with an X shaped stretcher and richly carved scrolled and foliate patterns. The intricately carved scalloped shaped frieze with exceptional pierced swaging floral carvings. All below the original Blue Turquin marble top. The impressive mirrors are raised by carved dragon design feet centering a carved mask amidst an exceptional lattice pattern. Framing the original mirrors plates are outstanding and detailed pieced foliate movements with a richly carved large female face and striking foliate reserve at the top crown.
