Jules Moigniez was a renowned French sculptor. Born in 1835 in Senlis and died in Saint-Martin-du-Terte (Seine-et-Oise) in 1894. He was the student of Cornolera and started to exhibit his work in 1855. There is a famous sculpture of his called ‘Chien D’arret avec faison’ ‘Dog with Pheasant’ in Chateau de Compiegne.
