A charming and large scaled 19th century Italian white Carrara marble statue of a young girl signed by Giovanni Battista Lombardi. The sculpture named "Girl with two Lovebirds" is raised on the original rotating Verde Antico marble pedestal.The girl wearing a classical draped dress is sitting on a tree stump while holding and observing two exceptionally detailed lovebirds. The girl with a wonderful expression on her face, has her hair in braids and crossed over in the back. The circular base is decorated with two ormolu finial handles, facilitating the rotation of the statue, to be viewed from all sides.
