An extraordinary 17/18th century Italian large scale Medieval st. square Rosso Verona marble hand carved fountain. The fountain with its grand scale one piece basin has a mottled base and curved cut corners with carved columns. Each side is decorated by a different central relief of maidens and noblemen with scrolls at the top and bottom. At the center of the basin is an impressive curved column with attractive and richly carved lion heads where water streams from all below the large top finial.
