A charming and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Napoleon III period ormolu statuary grouping of Jean de la Fontaine's Fable "Le Loup plaidant contre le renard par-devant le singe". The beautiful statuary is raised by a rectangle ebony base with fine brass, bone and silver floral inlays.
