A stunning and most decorative French 19th century Renaissance st. Alabastro marble and ormolu centerpiece/planter. The oblong centerpiece is raised by striking pierced scrolled foliate feet with seashells below the base with a reeded wrap around rope like band and elegant pierced reserves. The Alabastro body showcases the beautiful veins and displays an impressive scrolled mask of a handsome bearded man amidst acanthus leaves connecting to lovely branches with finely detailed blooming flowers and an exceptional scrolled handle leading upwards. The handle displays a stunning richly chased dragon with open wings perched above with its tail wrapped around the handle.
