A beautiful French 19th Century Transitional st. Kingwood, Tulipwood, and ormolu cabinet vitrine. The two door two drawer vitrine is raised by cabriole legs with fine pierced foliate ormolu sabots below the arbalest shaped frieze centered by a lovely scrolled foliate ormolu mount. The door at the center displays a striking quarter veneered design centered by an impressive pierced scrolled foliate ormolu mount with a smooth cabochon reserve and a foliate ormolu keyhole escutcheon and which opens to reveal one shelf and original hardware. The sides display a beautiful and most decorative scalloped serpentine shape with a remarkable quarter veneered design showcasing the wood grain. Above a single drawer decorated with an additional pierced scrolled foliate ormolu mount with charming blooming flowers and etched designs is the top with a single door, an additional drawer, and shelves at each side. The drawer and door each display fine foliate keyhole escutcheons with the door retaining its original glass pane and opens to reveal its original hardware, one shelf, and flanked by foliate ormolu corner mounts. The shelves at each side display lovely most decorative butterfly veneered designs with a fine foliate ormolu band at the border and striking quarter veneered background also repeated at the top showcasing the beautiful wood grain. — Read Less
