An elegant French 19th century Transitional st. Kingwood, Tulipwood, ormolu, and Brèche d'Alep marble chiffonier cabinet. The six drawer chiffonier is raised by beautiful cabriole legs with fine pierced fitted ormolu sabots with foliate designs. The arbalest shaped frieze is centered by a finely chased pierced ormolu reserve with lovely foliate movement and a charming seashell. Each of the drawers displays a most decorative bombée shape and is decorated with richly chased foliate ormolu keyhole escutcheons set on a beautiful quarter veneered Tulipwood background with a delicate scalloped shaped Kingwood border. At each corner are elegant pierced foliate ormolu mounts while the sides display a lovely curved shape with quarter veneered panels showcasing the beautiful wood grain also framed within a fine Kingwood border. Above is the original Brèche d'Alep marble top with a delicate mottled border. All original gilt and hardware throughout. — Read Less
