A pair of very handsome large scale Italian Baroque early 19th century patinated oak armchairs. Each chair is raised on very elaborately carved and scrolled legs in the front and straight legs at the back joined by a straight stretcher. The front legs have carved designs of scrolls and acanthus leaves and C scrolled feet joined by a scrolled stretcher. The armrests above are wonderfully carved with a scrolled design. The wide seat and back are upholstered in a rich fabric finished with brass nail heads. All original patina. — Read Less
