An exceptional and most elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu and white Carrara marble lamps. Each lamp is raised by fine ormolu topie shaped feet below the triangular white Carrara marble bases with curved sides, cut corners, and beautiful fitted pierced scrolled Rinceau shaped foliate plaques with striking eagles and richly chased rosettes. Three striking scrolled fluted elements lead upwards with lovely scrolled fluted designs adorned with charming intricately detailed acanthus leaves and wonderfully executed swaging garlands of stunning blooming flowers all centering the unique and most decorative circular fluted white Carrara marble columns. Above the socle shaped supports with wrap around berried laurels and Coeur de Rai bands with foliate designs are impressive reserves with beautiful interlocking Les Oves bands and lovely twisted ribbon and foliate designs. — Read Less
