A most elegant and high quality pair of French 19th century Vert de Patricia marble and ormolu lidded urns. Each urn is raised by a square base with concave corners and a fine bottom ormolu fillet. The striking socle pedestals display richly chased wrap around ormolu bands with fine fluted designs and charming palmettes. The bodies display a tapered baluster shape with fluted designs and superb fitted foliate chandelles. Wonderful pierced ormolu bands extend along the centers with charming foliate designs leading to detailed satyrs at each sides and scrolled foliate bands at the rims. Above are the removable lids in unique and most decorative mottled shapes with striking acorn shaped top finials amidst foliate movements. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
