An impressive and high quality pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. Giltwood Torchière floor lamps. Each freestanding fifteen light torchière is raised by a square tapered base with striking and most handsome foliated paw feet. The base is designed with a central swaging foliate garland with finely carved foliate vines on either side and toped with an acanthus leaf capital. The socle above the pedestal supports the four tiers of electrified arms above. The lower tier has five 'C' scrolled arms decorated with acanthus leaves and mottled edged candle cups. The second tier with its four 'C' scrolled arms is decorated in a similar manner as the lower tier. The third tier displays three scrolled arms also decorated in a similar fashion as the two tiers below. Above are the final three arms supported by a bell shaped Giltwood support with a foliate decorated rim.
