A wonderful and most elegant Italian 18th century Louis XV st. Walnut and Fruitwood games table/console circa 1780. The table is raised by lovely cabriole legs with unique and most decorative mottled feet. The arbalest shaped apron displays one drawer with a bronze keyhole escutcheon and arched shaped aprons at the sides. The table is not finished at the back as it can be used as a console and pulled out off of the wall to open the top to turn it into a square games table. When closed, the burl Walnut top displays a lovely scalloped shape with exceptional inlaid Fruitwood accents, a lovely central reserve, and when opened via its original hinges, the inside top displays stunning additional inlaid Fruitwood Fleur de Lys and fine fillets. All original rich patina throughout.
