A stunning and extremely decorative Italian 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood, iron, and crystal chandelier. The eighteen arm chandelier from Northern Italy is centered by a beautiful hand blown faceted crystal ball pendant amidst most charming and unique floral crystal sprays with delicate crystal garlands and lovely rosettes. The giltwood central fut displays wonderfully richly carved foliate designs from where the elegantly scrolled iron arms branch out spread over two tiers. The arms are adorned with striking high quality thick cut, scalloped, and tear drop shaped crystal pendants and connected by beautiful swaging crystal garlands leading to lovely mottled giltwood bobeches and candle cups. Above is an additional tier with outstanding scrolled iron sprays decorated with superb thick cut crystal pendents and a lovely delicate spray at the top crown adorned with a beautiful array of swaging crystal garlands throughout.
