A sensational and extremely high quality Italian 19th century solid white Carrara marble statue of three cherubs by Aristide Petrilli. The statue is raised by a terrain designed carved base where a staff and a finely carved urn with foliate designs lays on the ground. The cherub to the left is seated on the ground playing his pan flute which is tied with a finely detailed crossed band. The cherub at the center has a horn over his shoulder and is holding finely carved grape clusters and also has them in his hair. The charming cherub to the right is seated on a pedestal, decorated by a carved detailed gladiator with a horse and chariot. The cherub holds an music scroll with intricately carved notes while happily leaning towards his friend. Stunning and intricate attention to detail throughout.
