A sensational and palatially scaled Italian 19th century wrought iron, gilt metal, tole and Vert Maurin marble wall mounted console. The console is raised by striking and most decorative pierced scrolled wrought iron supports. Each support is adorned with beautiful gilt acanthus leaves centered by wonderfully executed flower baskets with exceptional gilt leaves and flowers. Leading up are unique scrolled diagonal wall supports with outstanding gilt leaves and superb swaging patinated metal fruit clusters. The delicate pierced frieze displays a most decorative design and is centered by an impressive gilt satyr mask amidst scrolled movements. Above is the original magnificent thick Vert Maurin marble top.
