A very elegant Italian early 19th century giltwood and glass eight arm chandelier. This Genovese chandelier has a decorative central giltwood fut with acanthus leaves and a glass ball at its base. The eight 'S' scrolled iron arms have hanging prisms and various hexagon shaped glass garlands. The beaded swaging arms all below the giltwood saucer and candle cups. The upper portion of the central fut is adorned with additional beaded swaging curved arms with pear shaped cut prisms. All original gilt throughout. Wonderfully decorative.
