A spectacular and monumental French early 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood and marble consoles with their original palatial companion mirrors. Each console is raised by topie feet and elegant and richly carved scrolled legs, joined by an X stretcher with beautiful scrolls, fine hammered designs and a striking central family crest in a wonderful satin and burnished finish. At the frieze are impressive pierced foliate designs with scrolled movements centering an outstanding female mask with palmettes in her hair. The scalloped shaped demi lune consoles displays a thick marble fitted top with a fine mottled border and a carved foliate giltwood trim. The magnificent double framed mirrors display elegant scrolled foliate movements at the bottom corners. Each original mirror plate is framed within a mottled giltwood border and rich foliate carvings. The central mirror plate displays a beautiful bevel with fine top designs following the contours of the frame. The majestic top crown displays a stunning central foliate reserve in a striking satin and burnished finish flanked by a pierced lattice design with rosettes and very decorative richly carved movements.
