A superb and most decorative Italian 19th century giltwood and specimen marble side/center table. The circular table is raised by a striking and exquisitely carved giltwood base with elegant scrolled foliate designs and impressive finely detailed dragon heads. The turned central support displays richly carved and lightly curved fluted designs. The original circular specimen marble top displays a striking array of inlaid marbles arranged in a most decorative scattered pattern displaying Black, Green and Imperial Porphyry, Sienna, Brocatelle d'Espagne and Rouge Royal marble to name but a few. A fine Malachite border with Black Belgian marble fillets are framed within an additional Granite and Black Belgian marble border. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
