A striking and most elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. Mahogany and ormolu center/side table, attributed to Henri Dasson. The two drawers two pullouts circular table is raised by slender square tapered legs with fine fitted foliate sabots and charming richly chased mottled top caps with lovely Coeur de Rai designs and intricately detailed fruit and blooming flowers tied with a ribbon. The legs are connected by an exceptional pierced stretcher with fine ormolu bands at the border and a most decorative geometric design. Above each leg are finely detailed ormolu mounts with lovely cornucopias flanking impressive pierced ormolu plaques of scrolled Rinceaux patterns with superb attention to detail. At the apron are two drawers and two pullouts with elegant gold tooled fitted leather writing surfaces also repeated above and framed within a warm wood border with a mottled wrap around gallery.
